Kristin’s Queso
This Queso recipe belongs to my ‘daughter-in-love’, Kristin.She always makes it for all our family gatherings, whether the holidays or just a spontaneous get-together. It is sooo delicious, could not be simpler, and my absolute FAVE Queso.Texas approved!
Ingredients
- 1 16oz package Velveeta Queso Blanco or regular Velveeta
- 1 10 oz can Original Rotel Tomatoes & Green Chiles
- 1 4 oz package Cream Cheese, room temperature
- 1 package good quality Hot Breakfast Sausage We prefer Jimmy Dean brand
Instructions
- Cook breakfast sausage according to package directions and drain on paper towels.
- Cut the Velveeta into chunks and add to medium size pot on low.
- Add soften creamed cheese, Rotel and cooked breakfast sausage.
- Heat on low, stirring occasionally until creamy – being careful not to allow scorching.
- You can then add to slow cooker kept on low for serving.
- If time is not an issue, just add all of the ingredients to your slow cooker on low and let warm until creamy and smooth, stirring occasionally.
- Serve with your favorite tortilla chips and enjoy!
